I am especially impressed with your last line about resisting the temptation to compare ourselves to others, even ourselves. Perhaps that is the height of the uniqueness Chiron urges us to develop. "I Gotta Be Me" is the theme song, and evolving Self is a work in progress, one that defies linear ideas of progress itself. You have given me much to contemplate. I really appreciate your jumping in wholeheartedly to share in the Radical Virgo community. You have a lot ot offer us. If you're inclined toward writing an article, consider being a guest blogger at some point. I'd welcome your participation in that way. In his case and in my own, there is a clear divide between goals, teaching warriors and seeking peace. Within this conflict of interest, the weight of the consequences of teaching or participating in war technique while seeking peaceful resolve gets so heavy - and for good reason, that often both avenues become blocked. This brings periods of "loss" compounded with an overall air of chaos, and after some time, demands an ever elusive restart.

The restart is often hard to come by, especially as the situations of habit keep coming, each with one of two specific approaches assigned to them.

Where I have gotten to, with the help of your research, is that pride hides in the strangest places. It is in facing these pockets of pride (and vanity) which can unblock where the victim hood arises from. Specifically, from below, or behind these very pockets of pride. I can almost hear friends of Chiron reminding him during periods of morosity, to remember he is not like the other centaurs. A tricky pocket of pride.

I hear this in my own life, when I am down and friends remind me of the violence I came from in my childhood and how I compare to it now. Instead of dismissing it lately, I have been seeing only it is completely unnecessary to compare myself to any one, even myself.

keeping in touch,
clintonlionClinthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02273704507416801028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7881668285026141614.post-29343490968791941372009-10-09T17:23:53.922-05:002009-10-09T17:23:53.922-05:00Dear clintonlion,

To summarize my life, I am a healer, I live next to a small town named Pelion. I was poisoned in the Gulf war and still suffer from it - even though I can heal most everyone around me. I am a stay at home dad homeschooling five children, and the similarities just go on and on. I want to thank you for your work. I found it more helpful than any other in assisting my future growth.Clinthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02273704507416801028noreply@blogger.com
