Valentine’s Quotes for the Signs

The Quotes for the Signs feature seems to have taken on a life of its own. It’s out of control, like H.A.L. the computer in "2001, A Space Odyssey." Quotes insists on celebrating everything! Virgo has two quotes because my Mercury in Libra just could not choose between equal greats. (This is The Radical Virgo,  so I figured  the extra one is for the blog.) Much love to you on this hearty holiday and every day!

~ Joyce

I'm really glad to see that Virgo gets 2 quotes. I read the first one and thought "yes, that's super Virgo" and debated sharing it with a friend to chuckle over our mutual wanting-to-fix-ness, but then my eye was drawn to the Atwood. I didn't realize it was still Virgo's, and got a little jealous that someone else got the "fuzzy" quote. How nice to see that actually we can sit right in the middle of both of these kinds of feelings about love-- I don't have to choose. -Sarah

Thanks, Sarah! Virgo is quite multi-faceted, and the Atwood quote suggests that Virgo would take his or her love of words and and transform them into words of love this time of year.

Hey Juicy-Joyce, I have a question...if you had a stellium in Pisces what all would you do if Jupiter was coming up on a conjuction w/ said stellium? Besides watch Antie Mama again...I loved your review and I loved that book! As a Virgo what are you gonna' do to enhance your opposition and get the most outta' it? This is my practice run at posting...thank you virgo lady for your clear, concise, virgoian directions! now let a pisces muddle her way thru her first post...Julz
ps/I do believe you would make a fine Auntie Mame!

Hi, Julz! Glad the directions worked and happy I could post them on my other blog with links back to it for everyone's benefit!

If I had a stellium in Pisces with Jupiter en route, I'd consider it the original Mickey Mouse Club's Anything Can Happen Day for the whole length of the transit! Buy lotto tickets, be open to good fortune and hot opportunities--but be careful of the excess side of Jupiter. Easy time to overindulge on food, drink, etc. Some people easily gain weight during Jupiter transits. You may be bitten by the wanderlust bug. I haven't thought much about Jupiter opposing my Virgo Sun since it's still several months off. (Mine's at the last degree.) I probably won't buy any lotto tickets around that time and will be temporarily a bit more cautious about jumping things that sound too good to be true.

One of my few complaints about the way the universe runs and the planets turn is the fact that Jupiter transits are so short-lived. (The tough transits like Pluto's last years while Jupiter's blessings seem like they last 5 minutes.) While Jupiter opposes my Sun, I'll just be grateful it's a short transit and extra observant. I avoid assumptions about how a transit will play out. I just power up my intuition and see how I can make the most of what's happening in the moment, depending on the opportunities the transit presents once it arrives.

Thanks for the compliment about making a good Auntie Mame. Glad you enjoyed that post!

I know these were meant to be funny; but my stepdad is in the hospital (virgo) and my mother is a capricorn
and I was struck at the words you put down for those two signs and how apt they were.

Sagittarius - yeah. we can be silly :)

Hi, Mimi--

I can see how those two quotes would be poignant in your parents' circumstances. Apologies if they hit a little too close to home. Sending healing thoughts your family's way.

Thanks for taking time to share--and confirming that the silly quote belonged to Sag! I dig through quotes on a topic and it strikes me which sign might have said it. Blessings ...

Oh, that's touching...Capricorn ~ Grow old with me! The best is yet to be. ~Robert Browning.
My father said that for years...his Sun and Mercury closely conjunct Saturn in Sag. He's 81 now and I haven't heard him quote that phrase for a long time. Now he quotes Epictetus.

Hi, Jacqueline! Thanks for your touching share about your dad. It takes a good dose of Cap or Saturn to appreciate that quote. My Cap Moon is in 7th heaven being married to someone I want to grow old with. Love hearing your comments.
